Stop-motion animation is an audiovisual storytelling technique where objects or figures are manipulated and photographed frame-by-frame to create the illusion of movement. Stop-motion is a fantastic participatory educational tool to preserve local stories and culture, develop language and communication skills, raise social and environmental awareness, promote problem-solving and teamwork, teach technology and digital skills, and empower self-expression. Participants in our workshops, programs, and festivals collaborate to plan, design, and animate scenes, fostering creative, critical thinking, and cooperation.
